Guiliana was exceedingly helpful in the weeks leading up to our arrival and arranged a private transfer, whilst this is a tad expensive at 110e each way I am so glad we had it as we slept in on the morning of our departure! When we arrived Cristina was there to greet us and to show us up to the appartment. Thankfully there was a small lift otherwise there was no way my mother who has limited mobility would have got to the 5th floor to see the amazing views from this lovely appartment. The twin room was comfortable, with plenty of storage and lovely view of the mountain side. There are doors leading on to part of the balcony. We found this great for sunbathing on the loungers. The main seating area could do with another easy chair or arm chair. The bed settee was comfortable to sit on. I recommend that if you have the doors open in the living room that lead to the side balcony, that you clip them back as the breeze does whip through (in a good way!) The double bedroom was superb, very comfortable and again with a door that leads to the front balcony that enjoys a glorious view of Vesuvious and the islands. We had breakfast out here every morning. The ensuite in the double bedroom is excellent, it has really been refurbished to a high standard. We all used this as the main bathroom. The kitchen is a a good size with everything you need, there is a second bathroom off the kitchen, the shower is exceedingly small and as such we didn't use it. We did have a few technical problems with the TV, we were told there were english channels but we never found them, believe me, my father tried! There was also a broken extension plug that the owner came personally to replace. Even when we had a thunderstorm and temporarily lost water pressure, Elegant Escapes were just the other end of the email. There is WIFI in the appartment that was a life line! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Apartment Sun which is situated off the main road leading to the Piazza Tasso. We walked down every day, there are benches along the route that we would stop at. My father and I can walk down from the appartment to the Piazza Tasso in around 8 minutes. We did get a taxi back however as it is slightly up hill. Just a few meters from the complex there is a supermarket, the road gets a little steeper here, it was a little too much for my mother. We would pay 10e for a taxi back to the appartment (including tip) Everything is within easy reach of this appartment, there is also a lovely patisserie on the main road to the square. I would also recommend the Sorrento Inlaid Wood Factory that is on the left hand side as you head to the square. Great prices! Thank you so much Guiliana, Irene and Cristina (and the owner, sorry I couldn't remember your name!) This was supposed to be my parents swansong for Sorrento after 6 visits, however after leaving they are already considering coming back!
